As China's economy slows down, the country's technology industry has faced serious downturn, laying off developers and cutting salaries. However, Chinese tech employees are now protesting against their controversial work schedule known as 996, which stands for 9am to 9pm 6 days a week. The work culture has been in place for years, but without the ripe benefits of a soaring economy, the workers are no longer being complacent.
