Meet ChatGrid™: a new AI-powered grid visualization tool

PNNL researchers have developed a new tool called ChatGrid™ to help utilities better visualize the power grid. ChatGrid™ runs on a large language model and produces visualizations of voltage, capacity, load, and more in response to user questions. For now, the tool only uses synthesized data from ExaGO, a model of the nation's electric grid. One day, the researchers hope that utilities will be able to use the tool with their own grid data. The researchers are looking grid operators to test the tool and provide feedback.
