Sets is a collection of well defined and distinct objects.
for example set of even number, set of odd number , set of first 100 natural number, set of composite or prime number.

while function is a relation between dependent and independent variable.
for example f(x)=2x+3 is a linear function

Sets have a lot of types just like: Union of twos sets intersection of two sets Difference of two sets Compliment of a set Disjoint, empty or null set And function have also a lot of types:
