A short, yet scenic ride out of America's tenth-busiest airport aboard a 9-car Millbrae/Caltrain Station train headed to Millbrae on a glistening weekend morning in the Bay Area.

Ever since the opening of the San Francisco International Airport and Millbrae stations in 2003, the SFO-to-Millbrae stretch on BART has always been served by one line only. Currently, peninsula-bound trains coming from Eastern Contra Costa County at Pittsburg/Bay Point Station are the sole carriers of travelers between the termini on weekdays after 7pm and on weekends. That service previously belonged to a purple-line or shuttle train (used only between the two stations and nowhere else in the BART system), and subsequently trains from the Tri-Valley at Dublin/Pleasanton Station.

Weekend trains (and those after 7pm on weekdays) serving stations beyond the Daly City terminus in San Mateo County stop at SFO, before heading to Millbrae. After a brief stay at Millbrae Station, these trains return to the airport, before continuing onto San Francisco and the East Bay.
