I have gained weight, I know that I have and I'm struggling with facing myself and facing my weight gain. And, I've been struggling to film. I know there will be lots of unkind comments and opinions. For those of you who always encourage and lift me and others up, let's just let them express how they feel and not participate in any contentious dialogue. Let's choose kindness, patience and love. There is enough contention in the world today.

My name is April Lauren, I share bits of my story here on YouTube. I believe in living each day a little bettter, brighter than before. My husband and I just PCSed to Hawaii. Back in Summer of 2020 my weight reached 352.8, miserable and full of fear. I knew I couldn't keep crash dieting and failing... cycling. So, I took a different approach. I decided to figure out what my body needed, what I needed and to take full responsibility for weight and my progress... And thus my weight loss journey began. With patience, kindness and determination, I began. I am halfway to my weight loss goal of losing 200 lbs and have found a passion for fitness and running.
