Battletoads NES: Why The Turbo Tunnel Is So Hard

Why hello you lovely little peppercorns, my name's Noa Lee and Battletoads NES is known for it's punishing difficultly, while also praised for it's excellent music, graphics, and visual effects. Of the most egregious of Battletoads NES's levels is the infamous Turbo Tunnel that features our amphibious brawlers racing on ever-accelerating speeder bikes while dodging more and more hazards. Because of this one segment, very few players have actually made it to the next level.

In this video I'll be doing a brief recap/review of Battletoads NES followed by some frame by frame analysis and some math to explain just why the Turbo Tunnel is as difficult as it is, and why it pushes the boundaries of what humans are physically capable of. Because of this, Battletoads NES might just be the hardest game I've personally ever played.
