Feeding Bees Pollen Patties (But Are They Taking Them?)

There are two topics in this video. I answer a question about why I'm feeding pollen patties to my bees and then I talk about hitting the 100,000 milestone on this channel.

Bees need carbohydrates (honey and/or sugar) over the winter, but once the queen starts laying eggs, they need LOTS of protein (pollen) to feed all the growing new bees. I'm just trying to bridge the gaps between the local pollen availability.
