In part 4 of the 'How to make medieval armour' series I attach the rerebrace and specifically examine the triangle safety edge, a very common medieval armouring technique and a must know for the modern armourer.

The rerebrace in these Italian style arms is quite short. The original ends with some decorative brass or latten work, I have opted to use a triangle edge instead as it better suits the final use this armor will be put to.

I will be putting the triangle edge up in it's own video, but it will simply be just that part of this video. In the meantime if you want just the triangular edge details skip to 20m 30s.
