This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Arvind Singh, a mechanical engineer - turned-musician is the father of rock and roll. He not only followed his passion for music, but is also doing his part to help the society through music. He is an innovator, a guitarist, and an inspiration to many.

Arvind Singh has been in the Indian Rock N’ Roll circuit actively for around 15 years. A qualified Mechanical Engineer who quit his job to persue his passion for music and he taught around 200 successful musicians in India. He is the lead guitarist of Hundred Octane.Often referred as the Dad of Indian Rock N’ Roll, his favorite quotation is ‘to live once only and there should be rock n roll.’ Instruments he is comfortable with are Guitars, Blue Harp and is currently trying his hands on Uklele. He loves to see life around him, and to him children are the true representation of this. In association with CRY and Hindustan times, he helped organise the rock for children concert. He is a great supporter of numerous other NGO's such as Bhumi.The songs he writes cry out against injustice in the society. A true musician, and a remarkably humble person, that's Arvind Singh.
