A few scary things that run through almost EVERY #motoparent s mind is are
• I hope they don't fall
• what if they get lost in this massive desert?
• please don't let there be a razor on the track

But my mind is calmed as I remember, everyone is prepared for these things.
• we make sure our kids are all geared up with hard shin protectors, great chest guards, and helmets that are all MIPS rated or better
• the clubs that put these youth races together have their own families in the race and always, I mean ALWAYS, have enough adults following behind (aka sweeps). Most of the clubs have the goal of 1 sweep per child.
• rogue off-road vehicles on the course? There are helpers posted at various points of the track to make sure only the racers are on the track at all times.

So if youre on the fence about putting your babies in desert racing, let this be your sign to go for it. It's a lot safer than it looks.
