Is Qi La La Using Too Much Kungfu Flair - Should We Be Worried?

A match of Qi La La's where it seems like he's using too much kungfu flair. In my opinion, if his gameplan is taking away from his defense and putting him at risk for receiving more strikes without enough counters, then it's likely not the best approach. However, I want you guys to opine on this and let us know if you think better refinement could find a great hybrid style that I just don't see yet in Qi La La's new approach.
