Christopher Eccleston reprises role as victim of British Justice on the anniversary of Derek Bentley's hanging. Derek Bentley was hanged on 28th January 1953 for a crime he did not commit, the murder of police constable Sidney Miles. Bentley was played by actor Christopher Eccleston in the 1991 film Let Him Have It.

The law practice and charity, APPEAL, which fights miscarriages of justice and demands reform, has released a campaign video featuring an older Eccleston as a wrongfully convicted prisoner facing this plight today.
