Manglish (Malaysian English)

--ah - has many functions, including marking questions or doubt, expressing a reason, or pointing out something obvious.
--auntie 'common phrase used to address older women politely. Not polite when used on younger women'
--aiyoh - exclamation approximately equivalent to 'oh dear'.
--got - here functions as a past tense marker. Compare Malay kamu ada beli ke tak and Cantonese lei yao mai mo, both literally "You got buy or not?".
--lah - here used to emphasize a statement.
--leng chai 'pretty boy' - used to refer to a handsome male.
--leng lui 'pretty girl'--a common phrase used to address young girls.
--pasar malam - a market in Malaysia, literally 'market night'
--uncle - in this context means 'lecherous old man'
