Biggest Myth in Home Theater -
Screen should be as big as wall!

This is so wrong. It is purely calculated using Industry Standards and the viewing distance determines the desired screen size. So do not make this mistake and learn how to calculate the screen size as per viewing distance through this video.

We are sharing the most commonly used screen sizes and the best viewing distances for it according to the THX and SMPTE Standards.

We have also made the screen size viewing distance chart which can be screenshot in the video.

Two things to keep in mind for the screen size vs distance chart are -
1. Screen Size – Measured in Diagonals (Opp corners)
2. Aspect Ratio – 16:9 Ratio

If you have a two or more rows in theater room, then this is what you need to do -
Either consider the primary chair which has to be the best experience chair in your room, or take an average distance of the rows and consider the screen size accordingly.
