Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 and won the title for the first time in 17 years as an Indian. Among 118 women from around the world, Hariana native Manush Tshilla was crowned Miss World, beating Mexico's Andrea Meza and Britain's Stephanie Hill.

As a medical student dreaming of becoming a cardiac surgeon, she is on a one-year leave of absence for a prestigious position representing India. India has won the Miss World title for the first time in 17 years.
