On 29th November 2024 the Brazilian national rapporteurs for the Toolbox project hosted a webinar to discuss Perspectives for Corporate Climate Litigation in Brazil.

Professor Danielle Moreira and Carolina Garrido from JUMA gave opening remarks and discussed the findings of the Brazilian national report. Dr Ivano Alogna presented Toolbox and gave an overview of the comparative analysis across the 17 national reports in the project.

Four speakers gave presentations on topics relating to corporate climate litigation in Brazil:

Gabriel Wedy: Access to justice and procedural instruments applicable to corporate climate litigation in Brazil

Nicole Oliveira: Brazilian corporate climate litigation on
environmental licensing: Overview of Instituto Arayara's climate
cases
Mauricio Terena: Indigenous peoples' perspective on corporate climate litigation in Brazil: Impacts of large enterprises and carbon credit projects on indigenous peoples’ rights
