Collin Sexton Was Supposed To Be A STAR! What Happened?

Today’s feature is a player many had high hopes for coming into the 2018 draft, and it showed with his 8th overall selection, the 3rd point guard taken behind Trey Young and Luka Doncic and before all star Shai Gilgeous Alexander. All throughout high school Collin climbed up the charts with his scoring ability, energy on defense, and his seemingly insane defensive intensity. He also had the personality of a lead guard, with clips of his high school battles going viral just about every other week. But that’s the thing about high school and engines like YouTube and social media, they can make or break a player’s potential, and if used right can create a buzz like it did for Sexton that leads to a one and done college career, and lottery pick in the NBA draft. But Collin’s time in the NBA has been annoying to say the least, and maddening the way the circumstances have played out against his favor. Circumstances that has him coming off the bench his last few seasons, with his minutes taking a drastic hit from where it was when he was having a borderline all star year with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 20-21 and the 2 years before that. In just a few years Collin Sexton went from a better team record away from being an all star, to looking like an expendable player, possible journeyman, or 6 man of the future. What Happened?
