Post 29th February 2024, the merchant QR codes enabled by Paytm Payments Bank will not be valid and won’t work. The top executives at Paytm have discussed why RBI Banned Paytm Payments Bank. They have first shared that RBI Banned Paytm and folks won’t be able to use the services powered by Paytm Payments Bank anytime soon. Because of this many people are supposed to face issues while using any service linked to Paytm Payments Bank The Paytm Payments Bank Ban by RBI is thus going to impact millions of merchants and customers alike.

The VPA of Paytm Payments Bank needs to be changed to some other service provider bank that will help to enable this transaction. Another problem arising out of the RBI Ban on Paytm Payments Bank is that many loans enabled through this bank will now have to wait because merchants cannot top up their Paytm wallets to pay for these loans. Because of this, the Paytm Crisis is becoming more and more difficult to solve at the moment.

Paytm KYC Issues occurred because Paytm and Paytm Payment’s bank are not operating at arm’s length. When we share our KYC details, we believe that our details will not be shared with a 3rd party. But that is not the case here. One KYC is linked with 1000s of wallets, which can create accountability issues and also facilitate money laundering.
