The important thing about Kalina is not the amount of damage she does, but rather the fact that she provides another type of damage (True Damage) to the Esotericist faction's arsenal. All the damage dealers in the faction are magic type, and as shown here there are highly-magic-resistant enemies (the Adjudicators) in game. I normally use Piercer Marksmen to take them down, but this provides an Eso alternative.

The other interesting thing about this fight is that I brought in Durza as a damage-booster for Kalina. I have been looking for opportunities to set up situations where he is usable.
