It was a distinct pleasure for Delhi Technological University (DTU) to have Shri Ashish Sood Ji, Hon'ble Minister of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, as the esteemed Chief Guest for the Orientation-cum-Induction Program 2025, joining us in virtual mode.
In his inspiring address, Shri Ashish Sood Ji extended his heartfelt congratulations to the incoming batch of students for becoming a part of one of the premier universities in the country. He encouraged them to make the most of their time at DTU, leveraging the university as a platform to excel in their careers and pursue excellence in all their endeavors.
He shared an empowering message, urging students to dream high and not just aim to be engineers, but to strive to be entrepreneurs and innovators who make meaningful contributions to the nation in the best possible manner.
He encouraged the students to embrace challenges and see each experience as a stepping stone toward becoming well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to society. He also stressed the importance of pursuing this journey with the goal of becoming not only good engineers but also responsible citizens.
He urged the students to actively participate in the upcoming ‘Swachta Abhiyaan’ initiated by the Government of India, recognizing their role in promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability. The Hon’ble Minister further urged students to address urban challenges with sustainable solutions, keeping the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the forefront of their efforts. He proposed organizing hackathons, raising public awareness, and conducting research on Delhi-specific issues—innovative solutions that could meaningfully transform the city.
His words were a powerful call to action, inspiring DTU's students to harness their potential and creativity, not just for personal success, but for the betterment of society and the nation.
