What is a CPL and what does it do? Polar Pro Circular Polarizing Filter

This is why you need a circular polarizing filter.

Today we discuss a few key topics in which why a CPL is absolutely crucial for any photographer. Whether if you are shooting landscapes, portraits, automotive or anything you can think of that needs a boost in saturation and removes reflections.

1. A CPL removes reflections from surfaces, bodies of water, windows and pretty much anything you can think of.
2. Haze will DESTROY the clarity of your photo, but a circular polarizer will actually help by adding contrast to your photo which in turn, gives you a sharper looking image.
3. A CPL will also boost your greens and blues in color. This is extremely helpful to get good looking images right off the bat. This also helps bring details out if there are clouds in the sky.
4. You do need to be a bit careful though when using CPL filters. It does not matter the brand. It can be Polar Pro, Moment, Tiffen or any brand. If you are shooting super wide or not at a 90 degree angle, you can end up with weird blobs in your sky or an uneven gradient. Not a good look!
