Flooded Roads and Sinking Trucks in the Western Cape S1EP38

We started our ride from Montagu, taking the stunning dirt roads through the Cape Winelands. As we approached the second gravel road, we saw a worrying sign warning about water levels but decided to press on. Boy, were we in for a surprise! The river had flooded, completely blocking the road. A huge truck was stuck in the middle while being towed out as we pulled up. After assessing the situation, we decided to head towards Villierdorp and Paarl instead. But sometimes detours lead to the greatest discoveries! We found ourselves on the beautiful, winding Franschhoek Pass. What started as an inconvenience turned into an incredible adventure, taking us through stunning scenery on our way into Cape Town.
