Kuro Custom Audio T120 - A Brief History in Song

Описание к видео Kuro Custom Audio T120 - A Brief History in Song

This is a review of the Kuro T120 which is a Matamp GT120-in-a-box that greatly represents the amp it is based on. This video gives 6 drastically different example clips to portray very different applications this circuit can do. Also Dopesmoker.

Signal chain: (unless pictured) guitar / T120 / Roland JC-120 / IK Multimedia iRig HD Microphone / Garage Band

Song 1, Albatross: 0:00

Song 2, Black Magic Woman: 1:06

Song 3, Crows: 1:35

Song 4, Atmos/Bass: 2:49

Song 5, Chanj (in the house of flies): 4:04

Song 6, ….But does it Dopesmoker?: 6:06

The T120 Dopesmoker settings are: Drive on 3rd setting, Depth at Max, Volume at Max, Bass at Max, Treble BETWEEN 9:15-9:30 o’ clock and Presence at EXACTLY 11:15 o’ clock (I can’t stress enough how great the impact is of adjusting the Presence and Treble knobs in this area even the tiniest amount.)

Pro Co Rat2 settings are: Distortion at 11 o’ clock, Filter at 12:30, Volume at Max.

P.S. Pot values are always going to vary a little bit unit by unit so please take note that you might have to finagle a little bit with your unit.

Boss GE-7B Bass Equalizer settings are: 62hz +4db, 125hz +4db, 250 hz -10db, 500 hz -4db, 1 khz -3db, 2 khz -2db, 4 khz +2db, with the Level flat.

*The 1 khz and 2kz sliders are the most sensitive nodes of shaping the overall tone on the GE-7B. Lowering the 1khz and 2 khz just a decibel or two will get very compressed and squishy and raising it will get very open and nasally. Proceed with caution!

Guitar is an Ibanez Iceman ICX220, bridge pickup position (Bridge pickup is passive and 15.6K ohms).

Mic Position is angled 90 degrees off axis and placed near center.

*Note: I am not augmenting the EQ in any way through my recording software.
