Gilbert Alexander is one of the most brilliant men that Subject Delta will encounter during the events of the game, BioShock 2. The new head of the Protector program after Dr. Suchong's death, Gil would be convinced that Big Daddies needed a more fanatical connection with the Little Sisters they protected. As such he would create the Alpha Series with the goal of establishing a paternal bond, the first successful experiment being a man dubbed Johnny Topside and a little sister named Eleanor Lamb. A fateful success that would define most of his later life as Eleanor's mother, Sofia, rose to prominence in Rapture.
