京急線 品川駅1番線ホームの様子です。4種類に分かれていて複雑と言われる同駅の整列乗車位置について動画にしました。駅員によるアナウンスも字幕化しています。

同駅の接近メロディーは京急のイメージソングである「赤い電車」です。をアレンジしたものです。ロックバンド「くるり」のボーカルで鉄道ファンの岸田繁氏が依頼を受けて作曲しました。

Why Japanese people line up for the train? Mainly in the metropolitan area of Japan, passengers line up and get on the train for the purpose of reducing congestion and smoothly. Passengers wait for the people to get off before get on the train.

If passengers don't do this, people and luggage can bump into each other and get confused. This has been done since around 1945 and is common sense in Japan.
