Lets get rid of stairs, social model of

If you live in New York City, that's easy it’s the preferred method of getting around. If you live out here in Montana, you can't walk everywhere you need to get to. It's a driver centric world. So we can see that depending on where you live and how the structure is designed, you're more or less disabled and if there are steps to get into a building, well then you can't use a wheelchair to get into the building. Sure, you could design wheelchairs that go up stairs, but you could also just not put the steps there. Or anyone can use a ramp. Only people who are walking can use steps. So why are we favoring steps over something everyone can use? So that is a social response, not a technological or medical response to a condition that you would define disabling when steps exist.
