In this presentation we will discuss the Healthcare Forum’s evolving work in applying the most recent version of the TOGAF® Standard to create a Healthcare Value-Based Architecture that leverages ArchiMate to build out healthcare domains, value streams, and business capabilities that helps healthcare organizations enhance the value they deliver to patients and providers.
Jason Lee, Director, Healthcare Forum at The Open Group
Jason Lee has been the director of The Open Group Healthcare Forum since 2014. During this time the forum has published several White Papers on health information interoperability; a Snapshot on the O-HERA™ (Health Enterprise Reference Architecture), and a website on the Federated Health
Information Model (FHIM). In 2019 the forum became the sole steward of FHIM, an asset developed over the preceding 10 years by the US Federal Health Architecture Program. The forum is currently working on a global Hospital Reference Architecture and a Guide for COVID-19 Mass
Vaccination Programs. Before joining The Open Group, Dr. Lee worked for the US Congress, the Department of Health and Human Services, several healthcare research organizations, and established a private consulting firm, Health Policy Consulting. Jason’s expertise includes healthcare finance and organization, health information technology, and quantitative analysis. He is
an accomplished author, speaker, researcher, and collaborator. Jason has a Ph.D. is in social psychology from the University of Michigan.

Alec has been practising Enterprise Architecture for over twenty years and has contributed to the evolution of Business Architecture for TOGAF and the BA Guild.
Scott Sloan, Chief Technical Officer, Kyndryl
Scott Sloan is a Healthcare Architect and Paramedic. With extensive experience across healthcare providers, payers, and life sciences, Scott has centered his efforts in co-creating, with his clients, innovative solutions to business problems through the use of leading-edge technology.
Scott’s roots in object and architectural modeling grew to a breadth of industry modeling and client implementation experiences, including IBM’s Insurance Application Architecture (IAA), Component Business Modeling (CMB), and the Healthcare Payer Data Model (HPDM), including speaking at a number of international conferences.
At Kyndryl, Scott is a Chief Technical Officer for industry accounts, and continues business model development in his participation through Kyndryl in the Open Group’s Healthcare Forum. Scott is certified as a Distinguished Architect by the Open Group, serves on the board of our Kentucky
Bluegrass HIMSS chapter as Director of Marketing and Communication, and holds a master's degree in Computer Science and an MBA in Marketing.
