Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this five-leaf slipper spring with hook end for your 7,000 pound trailer axles. Now, this slipper leaf spring acts as part of your trailer's suspension system by providing an attachment point for a 7,000 pound axle. It is made from a sturdy steel construction and it's designed to flex to absorb road shock and provide a smooth ride, reducing wear and tear on your trailer. Now, it's going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces.

This is designed to mount to your trailer frame with hangers or a hanger kit. Those items are sold separately but if you are in need of them, you can find them right here at etrailer.com. In the eye is a preinstalled nylon bushing. And the eye of this spring will attach to the hanger mounted on your trailer frame. And the slipper end is going to slide into your hanger or equalizer.

Again, this spring contains five leaves with a leaf thickness of 3/8 of an inch. It has a spring capacity of 3,500 pounds. And again, it's designed for 7,000 pound trailer axles. Now, let me retrieve my tape measure here and just give you the measurement here from the center of our eye to the end of the spring, we are sitting right at 26 5/8 inches long. And the spring width is sitting right at two inches.

And the eye diameter with the bushing is 9/16 of an inch. And the eye diameter without that bushing is 11/16 of an inch. I do wanna mention that additional dimensions can be found on this product page. And an important note is to ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs and we do recommend installation by a professional.
