Have you ever wondered what the original Rebel Yell sounded like? These are real recordings of Confederate veterans demonstrating the old southern battle cry.

Thomas Alexander was a private in the 37th North Carolina Infantry Regiment (CSA), who enlisted at Charlotte in 1862, and was wounded in the leg at Fusel's Mill in 1864. His recording begins first, and lingers after the others have faded out.
