Patient is a delightful 90-year-old patient who’s had a compressive 2.82 cm nodule on the thyroid pressing onto the trachea. This nodule had progressively grown over time. Secondary to her age she was recommended just a live with it. The coughing spells are so severe that it made her life quite miserable seeking multiple consultations. This video is a perfect example how useful the thyroid radio frequency ablation can be in patients to demonstrate compressive symptoms and they do not want to undergo thyroid surgery or cannot on the go secondary to risk factors or age.
