A credit card is a thin rectangular piece of plastic or metal that a bank or financial institutes issues. It is an excellent source of borrowing funds to pay for goods and services with merchants that accept cards for payment. Currently, there are around 3 billion credit cards in use worldwide, and roughly 1.01 billion credit card transactions occur every day around the world. However, there are less than 2 million credit cards in Bangladesh, close to 1 percent of the total population. Despite being one of the fastest-growing economies globally, why hashy credit card usage in Bangladesh not increased at that rate compared to other countries?
