Building a Jay Benford designed, 32ft junk schooner dory.
In this video, I talk about resources, choices and plans with respect to the build. In particular, I show the books that have inspired me most in this choice of boatbuild - Voyaging On A Small Income; The Gougeon Brothers On Boat Construction; Practical Junk Rig; Buehler's Backyard Boatbuilding and Building Badger.

All music from these videos is available from: https://ynotb.bandcamp.com/album/the-...

Follow the build, along with the story of my first cruising adventure (The Miss Molly I Adventures) on my website; http://www.svtapatya.com

This is the story of my building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk-rigged, schooner dory. The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it.

If you want to support the project but don't fancy the Patreon thing, one-off Paypal donations can also be made via the button on my website.

Thank you!
Tony
