GQ Awards 2013: Eddie Redmayne on new celeb BFFs, Stephen Hawking and career highlights

Eddie Redmayne has been talking about his celebrity idols and playing Stephen Hawking whilst on the red carpet at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2013. After picking up the Remy Martin Breakthrough Award at the ceremony, the actor said: "It's a lovely thing. I feel I've been around for a bit long but it's still a lovely thing, I'm treasuring it."

"I can tell you exactly who I'm gagging to meet on behalf of my girlfriend. She is a serious Nick Grimshaw fan, but I saw him skulk out so I've missed my opportunity!"

Talking about playing Hawking, the actor said: "I'm a huge fan of his. He's an incredibly inspiring man so I've been trying to read as much around him so I can get in his head." Report by Andrea Lilly.
