Viewtron AI security cameras support a feature called missing object detection. The AI software built into Viewtron AI cameras allow you to draw a rectangle box around an object to define the object detection zone. When the object in the box is removed, an alarm event is triggered. The alarm event can trigger video surveillance recording, a snapshot, an audio alarm, an email notification, and a push notification to the mobile app.

In the video, Mike uses a dome-style Viewtron AI IP camera positioned on the sales floor, alongside a Star Wars helmet used as a “valuable object” in the demonstration. This setup is designed to show you step-by-step how to configure your system so it can alert you instantly if something important has been removed from the camera’s field of view.
