Описание к видео First National Assembly session since election opens

(28 Jun 2022)
RESTRICTION SUMMARY:
ASSOCIATED PRESS
Paris - 28 June 2022
1. Various of NUPES coalition MPs walking together through garden outside National Assembly, surrounded by media
2. SOUNDBITE (French) Louis Boyard MP, leftist NUPES coalition:
"The French have been waiting for months (for concrete measures). Today, we have announcements that are communication stunts, for example on rent. We are told that whatever happens, there will be an increase. So we don't know what that is about. We have a program that is ready. We know how to get out of this situation. We must revive the economy through consumption. By raising the minimum wage to 1,500 euros. By freezing prices. We have plenty of proposals. But once again, the government is holed up at home deciding on its own. We don't really have the impression that they understood the message of the French people who are saying we want different politics, we will carry those politics into the Assembly."
3. Boyard heading into parliament session
4. Various of National Assembly corridors
5. Set-up shot of Sebastien Chenu MP
6. SOUNDBITE (French) Sebastien Chenu MP, National Rally, Marine Le Pen's Party:
"We will oppose without any concessions Emmanuel Macron's reforms, like the pension reform in particular. We will try to go further when it comes to measures that affect the daily lives of the French like the measures on purchasing power. We will also propose and bring to the forefront debates that would not exist without us. For example, the debate on Islamism, the debates on immigration. We will carry those here."
7. Wide of National Assembly Corridor
8. Parliamentarians outside
9. Various of media interviews in National Assembly garden
10. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Haddad MP, Renaissance, Emmanuel Macron's party:
"I think it's going to work like most democracies in Europe, like the European Parliament. We are going to work with other parties. The French have decided, that they want us, they gave us the majority but the relative majority, so they want us to work with other groups, with other MPs, build coalitions project by project, text by text, and find compromise and negotiate. This is the way it works in 19 out of 27 European countries and I think this is what the French are expecting us to do."

12. SOUNDBITE (English) Benjamin Haddad MP, Renaissance, Emmanuel Macron's party:
"I think the right to abortion the right to choose which is a legal right in France should be enshrined in the constitution. This is what the president of our group has proposed, and we will vote on this soon. I think what happened in the United States is a warning to our democracies and the French should be at the forefront of the rights and liberties for women."
13. Cutaway top of Eiffel Tower
14. SOUNDBITE (French) Marie-Christine Dalloz MP, Republicans:
"There is not an absolute majority. That's the first thing, there is a relative majority. On the other hand, there are two groups of extremes - left and right, they are quite important in size. This is new, it's the first time it's happened in our French history. But I believe that it will be a real chance for the National Assembly to have a democratic debate."
15. Various exteriors of National Assembly
STORYLINE:
The National Assembly opened its first session Tuesday since legislative elections this month shook up France's political landscape, depriving Emmanuel Macron's party of its majority.
Macron's alliance Ensemble (Together) still has the most seats but no longer enough to comfortably adopt laws.
