I simply picked up the freely available book and transcribed it into audio and video for my use and for ease of study, to prepare for the state exam. I then thought this might also help someone else on YouTube to prepare for the exam. Since the material in the book is important and as it is necessary that truck drivers be very familiar with the particulars that regulate their (our) careers, I thought I’d include what I’d made here.

I hope my videos will assist drivers for review, and those who may be considering a career as a truck driver; no plagiarism intended. The DMV has made the book available and free for pickup and use for exam study. An audio version seems a natural and necessary fit.

If you’re thinking of learning to drive a truck, learning the Department of Motor Vehicles’ California Commercial Exam test material is an extremely good place to start your journey, aside from also checking out truck driving schools.

Truck driving provides an avenue of approach to participate in society with a legitimate skill, to generate income to pay bills and life’s needs, and produces productive member of society and taxpayers.
It also provides an avenue of opportunity for entrepreneurially-minded persons to grow and scale their trade into an asset that allow self-employment. All of that starts here.

I’m an audible learner. I learn, optimally, through listening and repetition. I thought transcribing this from a written to an audio version would help me to prepare more readily for the California written exam. Having this audio format available publicly on YouTube would seem to support their intent (DMV) in providing books free of charge, that California considers this to be that distilled information, in its absolute essence, that is considered to be what every trucker should know. I’m grateful to those subscribers who have commented, crediting me with passing their exam.
