Nvidia STOPS MINING With New RTX 30 Refresh & RTX 3080 Ti & Geforce RTX 3080 Ti Release Date

New RTX 30 SKUs & RTX 3080 Ti BLOCK Mining - Nvidia FIGHT BACK Against Crypto | 3080 Ti Release Date

According to the latest reports, the RTX 3080 Ti will have both hardware and software limitations to BLOCK crypto mining thanks to a new Ampere GPU. The rest of the RTX 30 SKUs (RTX 3090, RTX 3080, RTX 3070, RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060) will also be given new Ampere GPUs with these same limitations. This in an effort to try and stop cryptocurrency miners from snapping up the limited stock of the hugely popular graphics cards from Nvidia. The shortages and availability issues that have plagued both RTX 30 and RDNA 2 GPUs are well documented, so any move that Nvidia can make to try and get the RTX 3080 Ti and other flagship Ampere cards into the hands of gamers is a good one.

Of course, it's not just crypto mining that has caused the shortages, but one less strain on the availability of the RTX 30 cards thanks to these new variants which block cryptocurrency mining can only be a good thing.

We can also see the first shipments of RTX 3080 Ti GPUs making their way to retailers, which seems to confirm our previous reports surrounding the release date of the RTX 3080 Ti.
