Hiking to Sespe HOT SPRINGS (Best Hike in Southern California?)

Описание к видео Hiking to Sespe HOT SPRINGS (Best Hike in Southern California?)

The Sespe Hot Springs are almost legendary. Tucked deep in the mountains of Ventura County, California; the hot springs require a 34 mile hike.

The most convenient trailhead is the Piedra Blanca Trailhead located approximately 30 minutes from Ojai. There are a few other trailheads, but they are more likely to be closed seasonally. Piedra Blanca is a popular trailhead, parking fills up early on weekends.

From Piedra Blanca, hike ~10 miles up the Sespe River Trail. At this point you. will reach Willet Hot Spring. Willet is not as nice as the Sespe Hot Springs, but it is a good stopping point. There are a lot of nice campsites in the area. The trek to Willet is short but steep.

Continuing on, Hot Spring Canyon is an additional ~5 miles up the Sespe River Trail until a junction where you turn left. From here it is about another mile to Sespe Hot Springs. Once in hot spring canyon, the vegetation gets a lot drier and resembles an oasis.
