NOTE: @1:13:42 - I say "when it comes to things that matter" and that makes it sound like I think conversation therapy and discrimination towards gay people doesn’t matter, this is a poor phrasing on my part! firstly I think those are really serious issues AND my point is things like discrimination against gay people still exist and conversation therapy is actually still legal in a lot of the country!! & our system has thrown progressives superficial changes and not anywhere closer to the depth of change we wish to see, even in the cases where we have seen movement in good directions
