Formwork is defined as the temporary structure /moulds into which concrete is poured to form permanent structure. Shuttering is the common term used for the formwork in construction industry.
Types Of Formwork -
1. Steel Shuttering - Heavy Steel Sheets. Mild Steel Shuttering Plates Etc.
2. Timber Shuttering - Commonly used by the construction industry in the formation of shuttering for casting concrete on site. Often used with plywood and OSB board. The timber used for this type of work is usually lower grade carcasing timber with a planed sawn edge.
3. Mivan Shuttering - Mivan formwork is the advanced formwork system made of strong and sturdy aluminum components that has great strength, durability, simple to install, adaptable and is used in the construction of residential units and mass housing projects.
4. Alufo Shuttering - Aluminum Frame with Plywood as it’s sheathing member. Alufo is a Column/Wall FW system & it is light-wt hence it’s not crane dependent.
5. PVC / Plastic Shuttering - Plastic Shuttering Building System represent a revolution in the area of shuttering because of their universality, lightness, simplicity, durability, solidity etc.
