BWCA FISHING - INTO THE HEART OF THE MINNESOTA WILDERNESS

Описание к видео BWCA FISHING - INTO THE HEART OF THE MINNESOTA WILDERNESS

Pete heads back to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern Minnesota for his annual fishing trip with old friend and walleye chaser, Jim Wartman. The destination this year is Alice Lake. Having explored the area many times, they are excited to get back and push farther than they have ever been in the BWCA.

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW or BWCA) is a 1,090,000 acre wilderness area within the Superior National Forest in northeastern part of the US state of Minnesota under the administration of the U.S. Forest Service. A mixture of forests, glacial lakes and streams, the BWCAW's preservation as a primitive wilderness began in the 1900s and culminated in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness Act of 1978. It is a popular destination for canoeing, hiking, and fishing, and is one of the most visited wildernesses in the United States.

Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and a surprise personal best monster sunfish all make an appearance and as usual the 8 day trip ends too quickly. Join us as we explore the heart of a primitive and giant wilderness full of wildlife above and the below the water's surface.
