Sesame Podi For Rice, Dosa & Idli
Recipe Ingredients
1 cup sesame / til
½ cup urad dal
½ cup chana dal
2 tsp oil
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp cumin
*½ cup dry coconut
50 grams dried red chilli
few curry leaves
small piece tamarind
½ tsp turmeric
2 tsp jaggery
½ tsp hing
1 tbsp salt
Notes: once everything is cooled completely, transfer into the mixer jar,
pulse and grind to a coarse powder.
If the mixture is hot then sesame seeds will start releasing oil so make sure everything is cooled down completely or you can grind everything first then add sesame seeds.
Don't add too much oil ad this will make podi sticky
If your podi gets moisture add some rosted chana dal and grind.
