And then we were off, after a sprint to our bikes.
I was the first to leave and was able to really get going and pull out a big lead!

The start was Humboldtsteg and towards the end it was actually only 9 km straight to the finish at Strandbad Wannsee.

I had a hard time breathing properly from kilometer 8 onwards 🤷🏻‍♂️
I was an idiot and took a performance powder just before the race, which I didn’t know yet...
It foamed up in my stomach and kept bubbling up, I also had to throw up at Hüttenweg 🤮
Then I thought that I had built up enough of a lead to be able to slow down to the finish, but I only thought that 😃
Shortly before the finish, about 2 kilometers, I looked behind me because I had a feeling and I saw @hagemannfritz coming up behind me.
I didn’t really have the energy to ride away due to the problems I was having.
So I let him get close and thought maybe my strength would be enough to tire him out, but that wasn’t the case.
Fritz had even more power in his legs than I did, even though he didn’t come into the race completely fresh.
Hats off my friend, that was a very cool end to the race, it was fun to fight with you.
