第一条 - 任何時候要將槍口指向最安全的方向。- ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. （全美步槍協會三大槍械安全守則一）
第二条 - 任何時候在沒有準備開槍前不要把手指放到扳機環內。 - ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.（全美步槍協會三大槍械安全守則二）
第三条 - 任何時候在沒有準備使用槍械前不要充彈上膛。 - ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.（全美步槍協會三大槍械安全守則三）
第四条 - 接觸和處理任何槍械的態度應該保持在假設槍械處在上膛待發狀態。- Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
第五条 - 不要單純依靠任何槍械上的機械保險裝置。您作為使用者本人為第一道也是最重要的保險。Do not solely rely on any gun's mechanical safety features. You as the person holding the gun is the first and most important safety.
第六条 - 要清楚的知道你的目標在哪裡，你周围的环境，和目标后方狀況。- Know your target, its surroundings, and what‘s beyond your target.
第七条 - 要具備可以熟練操作自己槍械的能力和一定的槍械機械原理知識。- Know how to operate your firearms and its basic mechanical principles.
第八条 - 要定時保養清理槍械確保你的槍械處於可以安全和正常工作的狀態下。Regularly clean and inspect your firearms to ensure it is safe to operate.
第九条 - 安全妥善的保管你的槍械以防止未經許可的他人接觸或使用。Safely and securely store your firearms to prevent unauthorized access or use.
第十条 - 槍和子彈在不使用狀態下應該分開保存。 When not in use, guns and ammunitions should be stored separately.
第十一条 - 清理或示範槍械時周圍不要有實彈或實彈上鎖。When cleaning or demonstrating with firearms, make sure no live ammunitions are nearby or they are securely locked away.
第十二条 - 一定要使用符合槍管標註口徑的子彈。 Use only the correct ammunition as indicated on the firearm’s barrel.
