The Honda Prelude Is Returning! (Eventually and As A Hybrid...)

Honda's Prelude turned up at the LA Auto Show and the PR people gave us a few extra details. The most important is: Yep, it's coming! They would not say when it's coming and where exactly it's coming, but we can make some educated guesses.
Clearly, America is getting it. We also know it'll be sized like a Civic coupe and based on the tiny glimpses of the interior I could see through the darkly tinted windows, I suspect the interior is more premium than the Civic. That makes sense because this will kind of-sort of be the successor to both the Accord Coupe and the Civic Coupe in the USA.
This show car had an actual metal body, so for the production version expect only minor bumper changes. The headlights also looked production ready. A quick peek under the body revealed a decently sized battery box but they would not talk about any potential PHEV version, but I would not be surprised if that's what we got. Honda's 2-motor hybrid system is well adapted to PHEV functionality, but only time will tell.
What do you think? Does this Prelude bring back enough 1980s / 1990s memories for you to snag one when it goes on sale? I'd bet it'll be on sale by the end of 2024, but that's just a guess.
