For my first video of 2022 I chose Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition starring Duke Nukem in full glorious 4K resolution and silky smooth 60 frames per second. In this Bulletstorm DLC, Duke Nukem is swapped in and replaces the main character Grayson Hunt. Duke is back with his captivating 90's cheesy one liners and his charming macho attitude. For example "It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of gum!" - DISCLAIMER WARNING- this game is totally NSFW and NSF for kids. There's more F-bombs and cursing and swearing than a construction site or truck stop and tonnes of gunplay action and gore. The only thing missing is the gratuitous sexy females. Duke Nukem 3D in 1996 was the first time I ever saw strippers in a video game and it was so controversial and fun to play back then. (   • Duke Nukem Strip club Red light district (...  . This 2017 Duke Nukem adaptation was a much better attempt at a modern Duke Nukem game than the mediocre sequel Duke Nukem Forever, which figuratively took forever; fifteen years from 1996 to 2011 to be exact. Being a long-time, old school gamer, I'm totally appreciative of this game in 2022 and with maximum fidelity applied.

In this patched version of Bulletstorm, Duke's facial animations have now been synchronized to his new lines and audio script. Bulletstorm brings unique fury and rage to first-person shooter action thanks to its signature 'kill with skill' gameplay. The game tells the story of a futuristic confederation protected by an elite band of mercenaries: Dead Echo. When Dead Echo members Grayson Hunt and Ishi Sato learn they've been working for the wrong side, they're betrayed by their commander and exiled to the far reaches of the galaxy. In Bulletstorm, Grayson and Ishi find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs in an abandoned paradise. They have two objectives: get off the planet alive, and exact revenge on the man who sent them there.

Players step into the role of Duke Nukem complete with an arsenal of over-the-top combat moves and outrageously large guns. Bulletstorm's array of distinct 'skillshots' produces unprecedented levels of frantic gameplay and yell-inducing satisfaction. The skillshot system rewards players for inciting mayhem in the most creative way possible. The more insane the skillshot, the more points players collects to upgrade their character and unlock weapons, which then allows them to execute even more creative moves and exaggerated skillshots.
