ADELAIDE WINE TASTING | MCLAREN VALE (Hop on Hop off Wine Tour)

This video is all about the wine and it was one of our favorite days of the entire trip. We head up to McLaren Vale which is a wine region located south of Adelaide along the coast. It is home to some of the world's oldest grape vines and the center of the South Australian wine industry. We start with a cellar door tasting at Serafino Vineyards which is where we chose to stay for the night. We catch an uber to The McLaren Vale Visitors Centre where we receive our Hop On-Hop Off Wine Tour Bus Passes. By wearing these passes the bus driver will pick you up and drop you off on an hourly schedule at a variety of wineries scattered throughout the region. The driver will also take any wine purchases and safely store the bottles for you until the end of the tour. The bus tour begins and we are dropped off at Angove McLaren Vale Vineyards and Cellar Door. This was Cailey's favorite winery of the tour and we had our first kangaroo siting in the middle of our tasting. From Angove we head to The d'Arenberg Cube which is a multi-use building that features a restaurant, wine tasting room, virtual fermenter, an alternate realities museum and some crazy restrooms amongst many other oddities. It is situated on top of the vineyard and has spectacular 360 degree views of the entire region. We continue our bus tour to Beach Road Wines, Hugh Hamilton, Bondar Wines and Wirra Wirra. We spend the majority of the day drinking, eating and enjoying the weather and the scenery. We head back to Serafino to get checked into our rooms and clean up for dinner at Oscar's Mediterranean Restaurant. After a fantastic meal we walk to Tintara Winery for a nightcap.
