Spec Racing is here! What a great way to get started in Radio Controlled Car racing - get your dad, your daughter, your grandmother there is no bad time to start racing as a family.

Welcome to Round 4 of the AIRCCC Summer Series for 2021. This is the penultimate round of racing in this championship as we move into winter. Drivers are ready to go - these are all the same car. If you're unsure about dialling in a setup - or just want some pure racing then this is the place to start. All cars run the same suspension - fixed geometry. The same ESC (electronic speed controller) and motor - has to be what comes in the kit. So the way to win is by being a better and smarter driver rather than having time & money advantages.

Smarter will beat faster here - of course if you can be fast and smart you have a great combination; but the track is going to be super dense here, these cars feel wide and with 11 on the track overtaking cleanly is going to be super tough. When the cars interlock wheels it causes problems, and maybe the fact that they will be turning at the same rate - as cars are about the same speeds - seems to make it much worse. Lots of tangles, and lots of lost time are going to hurt. Keep your nose clean, be patient, and victory is only another 5 minutes away.

Unlike many of the classes running, these Tamiya chassis are 4wd, with a very efficient layout. It looks as though the 4wd makes them a little less nimble in the corners, so it takes a different technique to drive one quickly than a full-carbon modified 4wd buggy.

There are a few mods the drivers can make - they can add some hop-up parts:
- Ball bearings (this is highly recommended!)
- alloy drive shaft
- heat sink on the motor
- 25 tooth pinion (also highly recommended)
- as well as a few other minor mods, but the pinion and ball bearings is all you really need.
