This video will give Key Stage 2 (KS2) children an understanding of how they think about themselves and offer ideas for how they can think more positively and grow in confidence. 👦 👧

This short session is all about our thoughts and the way we talk to ourselves in our mind.

How we speak to ourselves is very important. If we say things about ourselves that are negative or unkind, we can start to believe them and they can make us feel sad or overwhelmed.

Have you ever said "I am not good enough" or "They don't like me"?

Positive self-talk can make us think in a happy and more healthy way. Speaking to ourselves in a way that we speak to our friends can often help. We are often kinder to our friends than we are ourselves.

Try saying things like: "I can stay calm and in control" and "I will take things one step at a time" and "I am brave and I am strong".

Watch and learn from a short video called: "The reflection and me".

If we notice good things about ourselves, the more confident we will feel about ourselves.
