Looking at my EMT140 plate reverb set up in my garage. Modified slightly with Jim Cunningham piezo pick ups into a homemade pre amp. [EDIT: 2019 I am back to using the original valve preamps after re capping.] Balanced out to feed lines back to the studio in the house. Ideally the plate should be mounted sprung to isolate from vibration etc.. I live in a very quiet suberb..planes overhead are perhaps the only problem, just gotta wait them out, it's worth it. I have the UAD EMT140 plugin plus other plate emulations..but nothing is quite like the real thing.
